… and now, 20 years later, it was cool to re-explore all the beauty and history that moved my young heart and mind back then. Arc de Triomphe, same same.. loved it, hugged it, happy.
Then there were some new things… like escargot. Believe it or not, I had never eaten escargot until this trip to Paris.
Yay World Tour, yay life, yay snails not being Fear-Factor gross like I thought they were gonna be but instead… delicious.
..
Doors. Have I mentioned I love them and like to stand in front of them all still like?
First Nicoise salad in Paris with a little rose wine. I am told this is what the French do at lunch. So be it, let’s give it a go.
Yeah, this is happening.
Artsy fartsy Tour Eiffel. (Said once again in my sweet French accent)
Right in the center beneath the Eiffel Tower.. set the GoPro up, and this is the pic it snapped as I picked the camera up. Candids are the best. :))
Mmmmmmm….. I think this is the last coffee I had.. believe it or not, I’m kicking my coffee addiction over here… not that I set out to do that, just that that’s what’s ended up happening, just not the easiest thing to get it every single day or morning, so I decided along the way to see how I could do without it. So far so good, but boy is it gooooooooood, this pic is a delicious reminder hahaha
When I saw the Arc de Triomphe when I was 16, I remember just LOVING it, so I was super excited to see it again…. this sounds way cheesy, but it was kind of like seeing an old friend… like, hey, I remember you and how cool is it that we’re hangin’ out again. Hahaa, ya know? This particular pic, you have to battle a bunch of other photo-enthusiasts like myself in this small narrow section in the middle of the Champs Elysees in order to get to this top point to get this pic in front of this beautiful piece of Paris, and history. #totallyworthit #addittoyourbucketlist
Add this to your bucket list too….. Hug the Arc de Triomphe!!!!! 😀 I’ve now done it twice 20 years apart and it was totally awesome both times. :)))
Get over here, you! Hahahaaa hug it, I tell you.
Another view of the Eiffel Tower, this is it’s real color.
A daytime walk turning into dusk. Pont Alexander III.
A bit blurry, but I just love this shot. This moment of this girl taking in a photo that she wants too.. one of her loved one. Makes me smile… just observing life.
Now it’s night in tres jolie Paris! (French accent) Here, Notre Dame. Ahhh… just beautiful architecture and moving history EVERYWHERE.
My iPhone literally got this shot straight up.. no filters at all… this is taken from the bridge with all the “love locks,” overlooking Notre Dame. … Taking it all in… appreciating all the beauty all around me. Totally grateful.
Doors. #NotreDame
Night walk continues through the Jardin des Tuleries, ending at the Louvre. I liked this moment right here.
Kinda had to take this pic. #couldntresist
Follow this night with an epic dinner including escargot, creme brule, and a whole lot of delicious red wine and you got yourself a slice of Paris. :))
Sacre Coeur.
Looking out over Paris from the dome of the Sacre Coeur.
The view.
Now THIS was a Nicoise salad! Giant and delicious, and overlooking a sea of artists doing portraits and pictures of this beautiful town. Ahhh, Paris! (French accent!)
