Ok, this is going to sound harsh, but Naples… is a sh*thole.
Wow. Pretty much a completely trashed place with trash everywhere. Honestly still pretty interesting to see though given the gratuitousness of it’s disarray.
..
So why go to Naples?
For the pizza, of course!!!!!!!! Naples is known to be the birthplace of pizza, as such, it is known to have the best pizza on the planet.
“Please go to this pizzeria. Order the margherita pizza with double mozzarella. If you do not eat this pizza when you are in Naples, please lie to me and tell me that you did.”
Also this, and she’s entirely right…
“There’s not a menu. They have only two varieties of pizza here – regular and extra cheese. None of this new age southern California olives-and-sun-dried-tomato wannabe pizza twaddle. The dough, it takes me half my meal to figure out, tastes more like Indian nan than like any pizza dough I ever tried. It’s soft and chewy and yielding, but incredibly thin. I always thought we only had two choices in our lives when it came to pizza crust – thin and crispy, or thick and doughy. How was I to have known that there could be a crust in this world that was thin and doughy? Holy of holies! Thin, doughy, strong, gummy, yummy, chewy, salty pizza paradise.”
..
Once again, I owe it to my WMFT partner in exploration and adventure for setting this up. Brian rocks. He figured out where this place was and completely surprised me with the special visit because he knew how much I love Eat Pray Love. I’m sorry, I’m not sorry, that’s f*cking awesome.
While I was busy working, doing my whole mobile-entrepreneur thing taking care of my clients, writing blog posts, making videos, working hard so I could continue to enjoy each location… he was making most of the seriously cool World Tour sh*t an actual logistical reality.
CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.
Thank you, Liz Gilbert. (Yeah, I get to call her “Liz.”)
Thank you, B-town. (No, not his nickname, I just made that up right now.)
This is the place! Check out the crowd… we luckily got there RIGHT when they opened, so we were able to walk in and eat straight away. CRAZY. When we walked out, the mob was mega. So yeah, get there early and you’ll be good to go.
You seriously have no idea. SO. FREAKING. DELICIOUS.
My mouth is watering just looking at this picture.
What do you do in Naples? Go eat the best pizza on the planet… then you get the f*ck out of there. Check!
*NOTE: I absolutely am taking new clients while living abroad… so if you’re wanting to make some change for yourself, or just try coaching with me out to see what it’s like and what it can do for you… drop me a line, and we’ll talk. 🙂
