Despite the fact that I spent my birthday mostly in an airport, then arrived in a new scary third-world country at night alone…

I had the best birthday ever.
I mean, sh*t dawg, it started with crazy enlightened, ecstatic joy tears flying over the UAE.
How it ended… that’s what we’re talking about today.
If you know me at all, you know I believe this:
Love and hilarity are the two most important things in life. In that order.
So when I was hanging in the Doha airport’s epic Quiet Room waiting out the 12 hours I had en route to Nepal, I wanted to keep my peeps on social media apprised of the happenings.
My obvious next step……. the obligatory fake-sleeping selfie.
Here it is:

I mean, come on, most of us have done it.

It’s never not hilarious, that’s why.

Then, my amazing friend, Regan, took this post and turned it into the MOST HILARIOUS THREAD EVER. #FSS. Which led to me spending my ENTIRE birthday night CRYING LAUGHING, taking fake-sleeping selfiesĀ escalating in ridiculousness as more and more of our awesome friends participated and played with us.
F*ck it was FUNNY.
And funny is fun.
And fun is a value worth prioritizing in life.
As such, I want to share this entire epic thread here for you all to crack up at too.
Make sure to start at the beginning. It is most hilarious chronologically read. Look at all the pics, read all the comments.

I’m cracking up now just thinking about it.

I want this type of belly-laugh beauty for all my people.
So in the end, even though I was physically alone on my birthday, I wasn’t even CLOSE to alone.
Nope. Instead, I had a f*cking hilarious party with a bunch of my pals in the way we could have it.

They all showed up.

THANK YOU, MY FRIENDS for making my birthday better than I could have ever planned.
Ok, let the sweet tears of hilarity begin…. CLICK HERE for the full #FSS THREAD.
Oh, and if you don’t find it hilarious, just unfriend me now because this will never work.
